Rye Newcomers and Neighbors Club

On Friday, Oct 14 there will be a pep rally in the Rye High School gym.  This is the kick off event to “The (football) Game” of Rye vs. Harrison, an annual tradition of +80 years.

For some of us newcomers, this could be perhaps the first time you experience a rivalry high school game of this magnitude that somehow touches most people in town (my son plays at the Pep Band). To get a better understanding of this local phenomena, please pick up a free copy of the Rye Record this week and read the special “Section G”.

We thought it would be cool to meet up at the pep rally - which is a great tradition in town bringing in not only the high school, but many other supporters.  If you would like to check it out, we will be standing outside the gym entrance (at the back of the school near the portables) at 6:45pm.  

It should last an hour or so, and then we can then grab a bite & a beer somewhere in town with whoever is interested.
