Join Our Board

In order to get the most of the Rye Newcomers Club, active members are asked and encouraged to serve on a committee each year. Members are also encouraged to seek a position on the RNNC Board which is a 2 year commitment. Board members are required to come to a monthly meeting for planning events and business of RNNC. The Board is made up of several members as you will see below.

CO PRESIDENTS (2) – The Co Presidents shall be the principal officers of the Club and shall supervise and control all of the business and affairs of the Club. The President shall preside at all Board Meetings. They shall have all such powers as may reasonably be construed as belonging to the chief executive of a not for profit corporation.

SECRETARY(1) – The Secretary will keep the minutes and records from each monthly board meeting and email all of the board members the minutes.

TREASURER (1)– The Treasurer shall have charge and custody of and be responsible for all funds of the Club and the fund record keeping, and in general, perform all duties incidental to the office of Treasurer and other duties as may be assigned by the President or Board of Trustees.

MAJOR EVENTS (2 )- Plans the annual BBQ and LADIES LUNCHEON and sometimes a WINTER COCKTAIL PARTY .

E-NEWSLETTER (1) - Compiles and distributes ( via email) the monthly Membership Newsletter.Works with membership team to keep an updated member list and email addresses.

MEMBERSHIP/ DIRECTORY (2) - Recruits new members and answers all emails regarding membership form the website and keeps member records. Also puts together the Annual Membership Directory. At the discretion of the Board of Directors, compiles and distributes the Recommended Business Directory.

HOSPITALITY (1) - Plans new member functions/coffees and the annual fall Coffee.

PLAYGROUPS (2) - Plans and organizes activities for preschoolers and their mothers, fathers, and/or caregivers.

PUBLICITY (2) - Maintains website, handles all publicity ( flyers, Newpaper, Town sign) Also, sends out invitations via email.

KIDS EVENTS (3)- Plans and organizes monthly social events for members and their kids.

ADULT EVENTS (2)- Plans and organizes monthly social events for adult members.

BUNCO (1) - Organizes monthly Bunco Night and coordinates hosts, guests, and Food/wine assignments.

LUNCH BUNCH (1) - Plans monthly Lunches at various locations.

BOOK CLUB (1) - Plans monthly Book club meetings and coordinates monthly hosts.
